The Story
Truth be told, this little fella had just been released from a humane mouse trap. I happened to have the RED Epic-W / Sigma 105mm Macro combo nearby and decided to shoot some stock footage of the deer mouse while it gained its bearings. For quite some time it stayed completely still – resting, or perhaps even falling asleep briefly, as I’m sure it would have been quite frantic whilst stuck in the trap. Eventually however, the mouse gradually became more aware of its surroundings and started to awaken. I even gave it a small piece of cheese at one point. Thereafter, it actually seemed quite content, nibbling away and basking in the warm sun. Once fed, watered, and rested, it scurried off into the woods… hopefully, to live a long and happy life. This is the first of four videos in this series.
