The Story
Slow motion water can be mesmerizing. It’s beautiful to watch, especially in the late summer / early autumn when the maple leaves turn and fall, adding to the rich colors and forcing the water to change course ever so slightly. Naturally, Noons Creek was therefore one of my first destinations upon delivery of the RED Epic-W. After affixing a Nikon mount Tokina 11-16mm F2.8 AT-X Pro Duclos cine mode lens to the RED with a Fotodiox adapter, I found my way down to the creek and began to capture the scene for the stock footage library. I chose to shoot at 81fps in 6K, to give the water a soft slow motion visual, doing focus racks occasionally to test out the breathing and play with depth of field. This is the third of four videos in this series.
