The Story
There’s nothing like a wood fire on a cold winter evening. This wood stove kept the house warm throughout many winters. I was often mesmerized by the dancing flames inside the tight confines of the wood stove, which, of course, made it logical to shoot some stock footage of the fire in slow motion. The RED Epic-W is a great choice for slow motion in my opinion, as one can get some nice high frame rates, and still keep a great level of image quality. I hadn’t been able to shoot much footage with the RED 50-150 zoom up until that point, so I chose that lens for this video.
