The Story
Whilst trudging down the hillside to Noons Creek, I paused to catch my breath and take in the scenery. I was on my way to shoot slow motion close-ups of the sunny creek water for my stock footage library, and was taken by this visual of the creek bend in the forest. Sun was lighting up parts of the forest, with a turning maple tree on one side, cedars on the other, a bushy green fern in the foreground, and the creek bend filling up the background… it was idyllic – well worth a capture. I had the RED Epic-W on this trip, but no tripod, so the camera is being balanced on a log for this shot, giving the shot a little movement. Unfortunately, I’m not sure what lens I was using at the time, but I think it would have been the Sigma 18-35mm, or possibly the Tokina 11-16mm.
