The Story
The early RED Digital Cinema zooms were extraordinarily light. I’d shot salmon with the 18-50mm numerous times, but I wanted to see what I could get with the 50-150mm – it’s a great range for many shoots, but there’s always a concern about needing a wider focal length. On this particular day however, things worked out well, and I managed to get some good footage of Noons Creek and the salmon, including this shot of a pair of spawning Chum Salmon seeming to take a break in the shallow water before pushing onward up the creek.
