Description
A 6K slow motion close-up of creek water flowing amongst maples leaves and rocks with a focus rack.
The Story
Slow motion water can be mesmerizing. I find it beautiful to watch, especially in the late summer / early autumn when the maple leaves turn and fall, forcing the water to change its course ever so slightly. Naturally, Noons Creek would therefore by one of my first stops upon delivery of my RED Epic-W, so I found my way down to the creek, and began to capture the scene for posterity. I chose to shoot at 81fps in 6K, to give the water a soft slow motion visual, and put in a focus rack to play with the depth of field a bit. Although the metadata didn’t carry over, I would think I shot this close-up with either the Sigma 18-35mm or the Tokina 11-16mm.

Noons Creek – Port Moody, British Columbia, Canada
