The Story
This marsh is tucked away near the Great Blue Heron nesting area in Port Moody, BC. It’s a hive of activity on any given day, with all kinds of creatures and waterfowl calling it home. I’ve often thought it would be a beautiful spot to shoot, so when a documentary series I was working on required some stock footage of a green marsh with reeds, I jumped at the chance, and headed out with my gear. I tried to keep things fairly light, but wanted some movement to the shot, so I brought a RED Epic-W camera, a Sigma 18-35mm Art still lens, a Manfrotto 502 Video Head and a Syrp Magic Carpet Slider. Things were a bit wobbly at times due to the terrain and the weight of my gear, but I got what I needed in the end.
