The Story
There’s something about a forest blanketed in snow that’s quite comforting. The muffled silence and snow drifting toward earth… these stay with me wherever I go. I was in the Okanagan valley editing a feature at the time, and had brought the Blackmagic 4K Production Camera with me to shoot some b-roll, so I took the opportunity to shoot some snow covered forest shots whenever I had the chance. The BMPC 4K camera I’d bought was the PL mount version, so I thought I’d give the RED 18-50mm zoom lens / Blackmagic camera combination a go, rather than hauling around the RED ONE that I also owned at the time.
